Janus Youth Programs has the following positions available. Janus is a nonprofit agency providing community-based services, including residential and shelter care, to youth referred by OYA and/or DHS, as well as homeless and street-dependent youth. We operate facilities in Oregon and in SW Washington. We are an agency that values diversity and values the contributions made by our staff in helping the youth we serve. Child Care Provider/Driver
Child Care Provider/Driver needed at our Insights Teen Parent Program to provide child care to children ages 0-5 while parents attend parenting classes and to transport parents and children to group classes. Hours are Mondays 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and Thursdays, 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m. Experience working with children and demonstrating a strong understanding of child development is required. Driving is required for this position so individual must have valid driver’s license for state of residency and have a driving record meeting eligibility for coverage under the corporate policy. Relief Coordinator needed to coordinate and provide on-call coverage for Willamette BRIDGE Programs. Facilities are staffed 24/7 so position requires flexibility in scheduling and availability for weekend, overnight and holiday shifts. Prior experience working with adolescents is preferred. Residential Counselor needed at Garfield, a shelter providing service within our Runaway Youth Services Program. The position is responsible for providing client supervision, individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and general supervision of daily routine while on shift. Prior experience working with adolescents in a residential treatment or shelter setting is preferred, as is advanced education, training and experience. Starting wage is $9.45/hour with excellent benefits. Overnight Skills Trainers needed Monday through Thursday overnights at Imani House, a shelter providing evaluation and shelter services for boys, ages 12 to 18. The position is responsible for providing client supervision, assisting in evaluations, and maintaining a structured living environment. A Bachelor’s Degree in a social services or related field OR two years related experience is preferred. Driving is required. Beginning pay is $9.50/hour; excellent benefits.
