Janus Youth Programs has the following positions available. Janus is a nonprofit agency providing community-based services, including residential and shelter care, to youth referred by OYA and/or DHS, as well as homeless and street-dependent youth. We operate facilities in Oregon and in SW Washington. Services also include alternative education (Lents Education Center) and an Urban Agricultural program. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) Family Support Worker needed full-time at Insights Teen Parent Program as part of their Healthy Start Program. This position provides in-home parent education, child development and case management services to teen parents throughout Multnomah County. The position does involve driving a personal vehicle for work purposes and requires a Bachelor's degree in social services or related field OR equivalent education, training, and experinece; experience providing outreach and/or direct service to at-risk clients; and experience demonstraing a strong understanding of child and adolescent development. Experience working with adolescents and/or experience working with local social service agencies and systems is preferred. Fluency in English and Spanish (written and spoken) is required. Beginning pay is $2,470/month; excellent benefits. Team Supervisor/Social Services Coordinator needed full-time at Clackamas House, a program providing residential treatment services to adolescent females referred through DHS. This position is responsible for providing case managment services to clients, as well as supervision to assigned staff. The position will also participate in managing client referral and intakes. Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, juvenile justice, counseling or related field is required; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 2 years experience dealing with adolescents and families, including at least one year of case management experience with at-risk youth and at least one year of supervisory experience. Working knowledge of DHS/BRS standards and experience working with Oregon's Department of Human Services is preferred. Driving a personal vehicle is required for this position so must have and maintain a valid driver's license for state of residency and personal auto liability coverage as well as have a driving record permitting coverage under the Agency's corporate liability insurance policy. Overnight Skills Trainer needed at Imani House to provide overnight and early morning supervision of male adolescents referred to residential care through DHS. The hours for this position will be Thursday, Friday & Saturday overnights. The primary function of this position is to assure a safe and secure environment for youth in care. The position will also involve data entry, logging information, report writing, etc. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education, training and experience is preferred. Changes Case Manager/Residential Advocate needed to provide case management services at various locations, including client residences. The position also provides client and facility supervision at a transitional living facility for homeless youth and works directly with young people who are transitioning out of that facility. Duties include crisis intervention, intake and assessment, case planning, and progress monitoring. Driving is a requirement for this position. Experience with street youth and prostitution-involved youth is preferred, as is knowledge of juvenilel jsutice and youth services systems. Spanish speaking also preferred. Imani House Substitute Skills Trainer needed to work on a sporadic, as-needed basis. Position will work as part of a strong, supportive team providing ongoing supervision and care for male adolescents. This position assists in the treatment and supervision of youth in the custody of the Department of Human Services through the provision of individual and group skills training, recording daily observations, targeting treatment goals, and by maintaining a structured living environment in accordance with program expectations. Bachelor's degree or combination of formal education and experience working with children or youth is required. Must pass criminal background check.
